AdaptLearn

Personalized AI tutoring

Learning should adapt to people, not the other way around.

Every year, millions start learning with ambition but lose momentum: content feels generic, feedback arrives too late, and the next step isn’t clear. AdaptLearn exists to fix that: AI-powered personalized learning paths, contextual tutoring grounded in each lesson, and progress you can actually see.

What we believe

The future of learning isn’t content. It isn’t AI. It’s direction.

AdaptLearn exists to become the intelligent infrastructure that gives every learner the right direction at the right time.

Why we exist

Talent is everywhere. Clear guidance isn’t.

AdaptLearn started in Lagos, Nigeria, with a pattern we kept seeing everywhere. Motivated people, from students preparing for JAMB and WAEC to professionals switching careers and teams learning new tools, kept bouncing between random tutorials with no path, no feedback, and no way to know if they were getting anywhere.

The problem was never ambition. It was structure. So we built the thing we wished existed: you name a goal, and the platform turns it into a sequenced path, tutors you inside each lesson in the language you understand best, and shows you exactly what improved and what to do next.

That focus shapes everything, from supporting eight languages including Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo, to working on unreliable connections, to pricing that doesn’t shut people out.

Mission and vision

Mission

Make high-quality personalized learning accessible to everyone.

Vision

Build the world’s learning infrastructure: supporting lifelong learners, empowering educators, and developing people inside organizations.

What we stand for

Four values, applied daily.

Learners first

Every decision starts with the person doing the learning: their goal, their pace, their language, their context.

Purposeful AI

AI earns its place by staying grounded in the lesson at hand. No generic answers, no novelty for its own sake.

Measurable progress

Momentum comes from seeing skills move. Mastery, streaks, and next steps are always visible and always honest.

Access without barriers

High-quality guidance shouldn't depend on where you live or what you can pay. We build for low bandwidth, local languages, and fair pricing.

Where we’re going

Focused now, ambitious later.

Near term

Deliver a best-in-class guided learning experience, and build partnerships with educators and institutions who share the mission.

Long term

A trusted AI learning companion supporting millions of journeys across careers and borders, for as long as people keep learning.

Maxwell Ihiaso, founder and CEO of AdaptLearn

Founder, engineer, and product builder passionate about using AI to make learning more personal, accessible, and effective for everyone.

Technology has always been more than a career to me. It has been a way to solve meaningful problems at scale.

Over the years, I’ve built software across logistics, enterprise platforms, AI products, and developer infrastructure. While working on complex systems, one challenge kept standing out: people have access to more information than ever before, yet learning remains fragmented, overwhelming, and often impersonal.

That realization led to AdaptLearn.

I believe the future of education isn’t simply about creating more courses or providing better AI answers. It’s about building the infrastructure that helps every learner know what to learn, when to learn it, and how to keep making meaningful progress.

Our vision is much bigger than an AI tutor. We’re building the world’s learning infrastructure: an intelligent platform that supports lifelong learning for individuals, empowers educators, and enables organizations to continuously develop their people.

This is only the beginning, and I’m excited to build that future alongside learners, educators, and businesses around the world.

A personal note

I didn’t start AdaptLearn because the world needed another learning platform.

I started it because I’ve seen talented people held back, not by a lack of ability but by a lack of guidance. Too often, learning is one-size-fits-all, disconnected from individual goals, and difficult to sustain.

I believe everyone deserves a learning experience that adapts to them instead of forcing them to adapt to the system.

That’s the future we’re building every day at AdaptLearn.
